Answers, without the hedging
The questions clients actually ask before they commit — about cost, timelines, ownership, AI and what happens after launch. If yours is not here, ask.
Working together
We are a technology consultancy and delivery partner across six areas: AI and intelligent systems, cloud and infrastructure, technology consulting, managed services and support, digital marketing and growth, and digital systems optimisation. Most engagements combine two or three rather than sitting neatly in one.
Startups through to established enterprises. We have built single-product MVPs and we run multi-environment infrastructure for organisations with distributed teams. The common thread is that technology is load-bearing for the business rather than decorative.
No. Engagements range from a focused audit or a single website through to multi-quarter platform builds and ongoing managed services. If the work is too small for us to add real value, we will say so rather than pad a proposal.
Yes — most of our work is international. We have delivered for clients across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and we work async-first with written decisions and clear ownership so progress does not stall across time zones.
That is often the sensible route. A paid discovery or audit gives you a concrete deliverable and lets both sides find out how the other works before committing to a larger build. Plenty of long relationships started that way.
Process & timelines
Discovery usually begins within one to two weeks of an agreed scope. Urgent remediation — an outage, a security incident, a failed migration — we triage immediately; call rather than email for those.
A website or focused tool runs four to eight weeks. A platform build runs three to six months. Infrastructure migrations depend almost entirely on what is being migrated. You get a dated plan after discovery, not before — an estimate given before we understand the system is a guess dressed up as a commitment.
Short delivery cycles with working software at the end of each, a shared board you can see at any time, and a regular written update. You should never have to ask how it is going.
A decision-maker who can answer questions within a day or two, access to the relevant systems and people, and honesty about constraints — budget, deadlines, internal politics. Projects slow down over access and approvals far more often than over engineering.
They usually do. Small changes are absorbed within the cycle. Anything that moves the date or the cost is quoted before it is built, so you decide with the trade-off in front of you rather than discovering it at invoice time.
Cost & contracts
Fixed price for well-defined scopes, monthly retainer for ongoing work and managed services, and time-and-materials only where the scope genuinely cannot be pinned down yet. We will tell you which model fits and why.
Yes. Tell us the number early and we will shape the scope to fit it, or tell you plainly that it will not cover what you have described. Discovering a budget mismatch three weeks in wastes everyone's time.
You do. Repositories, cloud accounts, domains and analytics are provisioned in your name or transferred to you at handover. We do not hold client infrastructure hostage, and you can take the work to another team without penalty.
Yes, routinely, and we can work under your paperwork or ours. For regulated sectors we are also comfortable with data processing agreements and security questionnaires.
Technology & AI
Yes, and that is most of the AI work we do. Greenfield AI products are rare. The common case is automating a real workflow, adding retrieval over documents you already hold, or putting a decision model behind a process someone currently does by hand.
By looking at the process first. If a task is high-volume, rules-based and currently manual, AI usually pays. If it is low-volume, judgement-heavy, or the data is not there, it usually does not — and we will say so. An honest no costs less than a project that quietly fails.
We work with what you have wherever it is viable. Replacement is expensive and risky, so it needs a real justification beyond preference. When we do recommend replacing something, you get the reasoning and the cost of not doing it.
Mature, well-supported platforms: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node and Laravel for product; AWS, Azure and Google Cloud with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure; Python and modern AI tooling for intelligent systems. We name the choice and the reason, so the next team can maintain it.
Generative engine optimisation — making your business legible to AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, which increasingly answer questions that used to start on a search results page. It relies on structured data and clear factual content rather than keywords, and it is becoming as important as classic SEO.
Support & security
Every build includes a support window. Beyond that, managed services cover monitoring, patching, backups, performance work and a named contact who knows your environment. You are never left holding a system you cannot maintain.
Managed service clients get an agreed response time written into the arrangement, with faster targets for anything affecting production. Outside a support agreement we respond to enquiries within one working day.
Access control, dependency and patch management, encrypted secrets, tested backups and an incident response plan agreed before anything goes live. For regulated clients we work to the standard your sector requires and document it.
You leave with everything: code, credentials, documentation and a handover session. We would rather you stay because the work is good than because leaving is painful.

Ask the awkward question
Whether a project is viable, whether your budget is realistic, whether you need us at all — we would rather answer honestly than have you find out later.
Tell us what needs to work better.
A short conversation is usually enough to tell whether we are the right fit. If the work is outside what we do well, we will say so.
